Key Features
Reconnect the split spawns
- Check whether you started beside Jugger-Nog or Quick Revive. In co-op, the closed dividing door can split the team. Each side must buy its way upstairs and around the asylum toward the kitchen/power area. Buy ammunition before committing to the next corridor.
- Reach the power room at the far end of the upper floor and activate the switch. The dividing spawn door opens and the perk machines and electric traps become usable. Reunite through the now-open connection before making the next round harder.
- Jugger-Nog and Quick Revive mark the two starting sides; Double Tap and Speed Cola lie along the upstairs circuit. In solo, Quick Revive costs 500 and provides up to three self-revives. In co-op it speeds up revives instead. Double Tap increases fire rate; it is not Double Tap II. Mule Kick is available with the BO1 title update. There is no Pack-a-Punch route on this map.
- The Mystery Box uses BO1 weapons, including the Ray Gun and Winter’s Howl. The latter slows or freezes zombies but cannot be upgraded on Verrückt. Monkey Bombs can open an escape route. The Wunderwaffe in BO3 guides is not this map’s BO1 wonder weapon.
Use the asylum’s traps without closing your escape
- With power on, an electric doorway trap costs 1,000 points. Lead the horde toward it, activate from the safe side and use another route while it runs. The current also hurts players, so call the activation before a teammate follows through.
- Keep the next doorway open before circling the upper floor. Long reloads, a teammate moving against the train and the narrow kitchen corners are common ways to get blocked. A trap can keep killing when bullets become inefficient, but it must cool down before reuse.
Side Quests
Lullaby of a Deadman
- Upstairs on the Double Tap side near the power/kitchen route, face the row of three toilets. Interact with the left bowl three times, waiting for each flush to register. The third registered flush starts Lullaby of a Deadman.

Dentist chair and courtyard fountain
- In the Jugger-Nog starting room, interact beside the dentist chair to hear its disturbing sound effect. It is an environmental secret rather than an equipment reward.
Juggernog Spawn Room - On the dentist chair - Through the asylum windows, aim at the central courtyard fountain and shoot its statue to see the blood effect. You remain inside the playable asylum; there is no courtyard-unlock quest.
Courtyard - On top of the bloody fountain in the middle of the map
BO1 campaign-music radio
- On the balcony above the Mule Kick room, look through the zombie window for a radio on a desk. Shoot it to play a campaign track. This extra radio belongs to the BO1 remaster and is independent of the toilet song.
