Key Features
Grief: set up in the town
- In Grief, use the town streets, Saloon and Courthouse to move between buildings. Pack-a-Punch is outside in front of the Church and mansion and costs 5,000. There is no mansion crossing, maze route or Arthur barrier task. Approach the upgrade machine only when the lane behind you is clear.
Borough Grief: Pack-a-Punch outside in front of the Church and mansion. - Jugger-Nog is in its alley, Speed Cola in General Store, Mule Kick upstairs in Gunsmith, Double Tap on the mansion porch Stamin-Up between Courthouse and Church, and Quick Revive inside the Church where Buried has Vulture Aid. Vulture Aid is unavailable. Buy a core survival setup before investing in an extra Mule Kick weapon.
Borough Grief: Quick Revive inside the Church, replacing full Buried’s Vulture Aid. - Three ready-built devices are distributed between the Courthouse table, Saloon table and upstairs table beside the Sheriff’s Office: Turbine, Trample Steam and Subsurface Resonator. Check all three because their table assignments vary. A Resonator needs a nearby Turbine to work. There are no parts to assemble and no Head Chopper here.
- The Box can supply the Paralyzer, Ray Gun Mark II and Monkey Bombs. The Paralyzer is especially valuable for slowing crowds and repositioning, but do not base your opening on winning its random roll. Keep a wall gun for refillable ammo. Time Bombs, LSAT, SVU, Bowie Knife and Galvaknuckles are not this arena’s equipment.
Grief: protect routes and revives
- Place a Trample Steam with room to land, and check both your approach and destination before using it. A powered Resonator can clear a lane for a revive, but its Turbine is vulnerable. Defend the device and keep a second route available in case it breaks.
- Grief pits two teams against the zombies. You cannot kill an opponent directly with bullets, but shots slow them and melee can push them. When the other team is completely down, your team still has to survive the remaining zombies to win. If both teams fail, the round can restart. Guard teammates and preserve an escape route instead of chasing an opponent into a corner.
- Most pickups benefit the team that collects them. Call out Max Ammo before anyone spends their last magazine; coordinate revives around Insta-Kill or a Nuke. The meat pickup attracts zombies to its landing point or the player it hits. Use it to redirect a crowd away from a revive. A Fire Sale opens Box opportunities for both teams, so check who controls each approach.
- Clear the approach before reviving. Opponents can obstruct the doorway or push an upright reviver; crouching makes you harder to displace. Do not dive onto a prone player: the collision can down both of you. Keep one teammate outside the rescue so a failed revive does not end your team.
Turned: the smaller street arena
- Turned restricts play to the streets and the ground floor of General Store. The Saloon, Courthouse, Sheriff’s Office, Candy Store and routes to the Church/mansion are blocked. Do not use the Grief perk or buildable route in this mode.
- Find the Cure as a zombie to become the first human. Stay alive and kill pursuing zombies to score; a zombie that kills the human takes over. In Reverse Gun Game, kills cycle Executioner → M1216 → M27 → Chicom CQB → KAP-40 → M1911. The alternate Shotgun setting uses an Olympia-based loadout. Check the lobby setting before planning a weapon cycle.
- The human should watch the General Store openings and move during weapon changes. Zombies should split their approach between the street and store instead of lining up in a doorway. Diner’s achievement wording specifically names Diner, so use that map for its three Public Match achievements.
Side Quests
Which secrets belong to full Buried?
- Borough has no separate main Easter egg. Arthur’s jobs, the lantern cipher, Round Infinity, bells, sharpshooter, free mansion perks and Navcard endgame require full Buried. The Grief buildables are provided ready-made; they are not the start of those quests.
